Annemarieke Kloosterhof was born and grew up in The Netherlands. At the age of 17 she moved out and studied for a year in Cumbria,England as part of an exchange-year, after which she continued to study in the UK. In 2012 she started at Central Saint Martin’s University of the Arts in London.
She has completed her Foundation Year with a ‘Merit’ and is currently in her second year of BA Graphic Design, specializing in Illustration.

Apart from Graphic Design & Illustration, Annemarieke spends her time experimenting with different media and techniques. Her signature-move is Paper-Cutting, but she has explored Book-Arts, Collage, Moving Image and Photography, as well as the more traditional media like colored pencils, paints and inks.

– From March until the end of June 2014, Annemarieke was an intern, and later worked as a paid full-time assistant, to the director of The Makerie Studio, based in London, who create Paper installations for store window displays. (www.themakeriestudio.com)
-From the 2nd of October until the 19th of October there was an exhibition held in Alkmaar, The Netherlands, dedicated to Annemarieke Kloosterhof, featuring her most recent paper-art, book-art illustrations and photography.

Annemarieke Kloosterhof has won the “Young Talent” award.
Presented by Rabobank Cultuur Prijs 2014, in The Netherlands.
This is a prestigious award given once ever two years to an artist of the age of 21 or younger, excelling in their field and creating new and refreshing art of a high standard.
This award was announced to the public on 31st of January 2014, the award ceremony took place on the 26th of October 2014.
