For Lexus’s Creative Craftmanship campaign, the Makerie Studio created over 150 origami paper birds. I helped assist with the creating-process as well as the instalment of the hundreds of birds, and was active on the photoshoot. Photographer: Luke Kirwan.

For Watches of Switzerland’s Summer Flagship Windows on Regent Street, London, The Makerie Studio created a tiding of life-sized iridescent paper magpies, perched on a number of stands and gold and black cages in the store. The magpies played and interacted with the preciuos watches and jewels in the store, carrying them in their beaks and placing them in custom-made nests.

Denmark’s largest department store, Magasin, asked The Makerie Studio to direct and produce their 2014 Christmas window displays throughout their Copenhagen store, as well as make backdrops for their Christmas Catalogue. To create a simple but striking effect, we wove together hundreds of die-cut strips of iridescent paper, creating dozens of woven backdrops and oversized baubles. These were then used throughout the store as decoration, as backdrops in the front windows, and hanging in the atrium.

At The Rosewood Hotel London, The White Company held their annual Christmas event for which The Makerie Studio created all the showpieces, invites and decorations. These included paper sculptures for their official invite, a kid’s product showcase and pieces for the adult ranges. I helped work on an oversized present tower to preside over uniquely wrapped gifts spread across the whole event. Everything was made entirely out of paper.

This Easter,  Fabergé took over twenty three of the Easter windows at Harrods’ flagship store in central London, under the direction of Simon Costin.
As part of their impressive display, The Makerie Studio created a giant, fully functioning music box, featuring one of Russia’s most famous ballerinas of all time,
Mathilde Kschessinska. The ballerina was made to rotate on an intricately decorated pedestal, surrounded by beautifully ornate mirrors.
The entire installation is created out of paper.
